  6. Q: Does UZPronto run on Windows 95?

  8. A: Yes, it runs on Windows 95.

  13. Q: Why do I get "Cannot open calendar..." upon starting UZPronto?

  15.     A: You need to run the INSTALL.BAT script from the MSDOS prompt
  16.        to properly install UZPronto on your system.

  20. Q: Why are appointments not added when I enter them in the Day View?

  22.     A: You need to press RETURN in order to tell UZPronto to add it.

  27. Q: Why do UZful Software users have to be licensed?

  29.     A: In contrast to the traditional retail approach, shareware
  30.        gives the user the software to try before paying.

  32.        We need to prevent  unlimited  free usage of our software,
  33.        because it is the only hope of making a living in selling
  34.        inexpensive, useful software. With this type of software, it
  35.        is common for potential customers to "forget" to register.
  36.        In an  ideal world  we would not have to  restrict our
  37.        distribution.  In  this one, our  licensing mechanism
  38.        encourages a choice, after a reasonable trial period, on
  39.        whether you want to continue using the software or not.

  41.        Instead of relying on nag screens ("nagware"), limited
  42.        demonstration versions ("crippleware") or other (costly?)
  43.        incentives (manuals, support, ...) to encourage users to
  44.        register, we believe these approaches are not in your best
  45.        interest, because they are annoying, do not allow you to
  46.        fully explore the product before paying, or cost you more.

  48.        With our no-nonsense approach, you get the fully functional
  49.        product before you lay out a penny. In fact, the registered
  50.        version and the software you have in your hands are
  51.        identical, except for the permanent license key, which we
  52.        will issue to you upon payment.  You pay only for what you
  53.        already have, nothing more, nothing less.

  57. Q: It is cumbersome to fill out the registration form, and to plug in
  58.    the license key. Isn't there an easier way?

  60.        A: We're sorry, it is the only way for us to continue developing
  61.           low-cost software for you, the user.  The 5-10 minutes that
  62.           it will take to fill out and mail the registration form and a
  63.           check, and to replace the evaluation key with the new license
  64.           key, will ensure your continued enjoyment of our time-saving
  65.           tools.  And now, with registration through the Compuserve
  66.           Shareware Registration service (GO SWREG), it is even simpler.

  70. Q: Do I need to buy the optional floppy?
  71.  
  72.     A: No. Upon payment, we will e-mail (or postal mail) you the
  73.        license key to enable  continued  use of the product. The
  74.        enclosed instructions will ask you to use a text editor to
  75.        cut and paste the license key into the existing software.

  77.        The  optional  floppy  contains the  latest version of the
  78.        product. Our license provides free limited upgrades (that is,
  79.        if you  download  a newer  version  of the product, it will
  80.        continue to work with the license key you have, and you will
  81.        not need to reregister). However, it may well be worth it to
  82.        purchase the floppy, if your version is several months old.
  83.        If there is no later version to the one registered for, we
  84.        will wait with the floppy until the next version is released.

  86.        to you, and will  include  evaluation  copies  of our other
  87.        products, saving you the cost and time of downloading.
